Tendai Mtawarira, nicknamed ‘The Beast’, is a Zimbabwean-born loosehead prop widely regarded as one of the most destructive scrummagers of his generation. He earned 117 Test caps for South Africa between 2008 and 2019, retiring after helping the Springboks win the Rugby World Cup in Japan — the perfect farewell for a player who gave his body to the Springbok cause for eleven years.
