South Africa defeated New Zealand 12-11 in the 2023 Rugby World Cup Final, played in Paris on 28 October 2023. It was the tightest World Cup final in history, with Handré Pollard kicking four penalties to deliver all of South Africa’s points. The victory made the Springboks the first nation in history to win four Rugby World Cup titles.
