Bongi Mbonambi is South Africa’s first-choice hooker and a two-time Rugby World Cup winner, having been a key member of the Springbok squads that triumphed in 2019 and 2023. The Durban-born hooker is known for his powerful ball-carrying, lineout throwing and work rate at the breakdown. He has made over 70 Test appearances for South Africa, making him one of the most capped hookers in Springbok history.
