Handre Pollard is the Springboks’ all-time leading points scorer, having surpassed Percy Montgomery’s record of 893 Test points — Pollard’s total is believed to exceed 1,000 Test points as of 2024, though a single confirmed figure is not available. He kicked 22 points in the 2019 final and four penalties to win the 2023 final 12-11. Montgomery’s record had stood for over a decade before Pollard broke it.
