Bakkies Botha was one of the most feared forwards in world rugby, earning 80 Test caps for South Africa between 2002 and 2014. The imposing lock was renowned for his ferocious physicality and formed a dominant second-row partnership with Victor Matfield that many consider the greatest lock combination in history. He was a key member of the Springbok squad that won the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France.
