Bongi Mbonambi is a South African hooker born on 3 September 1990 in KwaZulu-Natal who has earned more than 80 Springbok caps. A key member of the Springbok front row, he was part of both the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cup winning squads. Mbonambi is regarded as one of the most technically accomplished hookers in world rugby for his scrummaging accuracy and lineout throwing.
