Kwagga Smith is a South African flanker and number 8 born in 1993, who first rose to prominence as a rugby sevens player, winning Olympic bronze for South Africa at the 2016 Rio Games (Fiji claimed gold). He transitioned to the XVs game and became a key Springbok squad member, valued for his electric pace, work rate, and ability to change a match off the bench. He was part of both the 2019 and 2023 World Cup winning squads.
