Bongi Mbonambi is a South African hooker born in 1990, widely regarded as one of the most powerful ball-carrying hookers in world rugby. He has earned over 70 Test caps and was a key figure in both the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cup winning campaigns, scoring crucial tries along the way. His lineout throwing and physicality in the loose make him a complete modern hooker.
