Victor Matfield is a South African lock widely regarded as one of the greatest forwards in rugby history. He earned 127 caps for the Springboks between 2001 and 2015, dominating lineouts across two decades and was a central figure in South Africa’s 2007 Rugby World Cup-winning team. He retired after that triumph before returning from retirement to represent his country again at the 2015 World Cup.
