André Joubert was South Africa’s first-choice fullback during the 1990s, earning 27 caps between 1989 and 1997 and nicknamed ‘The Rolls Royce of Fullbacks’ for his elegance and electric pace. He played a starring role in South Africa’s 1995 Rugby World Cup triumph, running in tries and covering the back field with instinctive brilliance.
