Percy Montgomery is South Africa’s all-time record points scorer, accumulating 893 points in 102 Test matches between 1997 and 2008. A fullback celebrated for his composure under pressure and reliable goal-kicking, he finished as the top points scorer at the 2007 Rugby World Cup with 105 tournament points as South Africa lifted the trophy. His tally of 893 Springbok Test points remains the highest ever scored by a South African.
