Bakkies Botha is a South African lock who earned 87 caps between 2002 and 2012, forming one of the most feared second-row partnerships in rugby history alongside Victor Matfield. Known for his immense physicality and intimidating presence, he was a key member of South Africa’s 2007 Rugby World Cup winning squad. He also played a central role in South Africa’s 2-1 series victory over the British and Irish Lions in 2009.
