Eben Etzebeth is the most capped Springbok of all time, surpassing Victor Matfield’s record of 127 Test caps. The dominant lock from Cape Town has been a cornerstone of the Springbok pack since his debut in 2012, winning World Cup titles in both 2019 and 2023. By 2025 Etzebeth had accumulated more than 130 Test caps for South Africa.
