Who is Bongi Mbonambi

Mbongeni Bongi Mbonambi is South Africa’s starting hooker and a central pillar of the Springbok front row that has dominated world rugby since 2019. Born in 1990 in KwaZulu-Natal, he is renowned for his accuracy at the lineout throw and his physical presence at scrum time. He won two Rugby World Cups with the Springboks, in 2019 and 2023.
