South Africa beat New Zealand 15-12 in the 1995 Rugby World Cup Final, played at Ellis Park in Johannesburg on 24 June 1995. Flyhalf Joel Stransky scored all 15 South African points — including a drop goal in extra time that proved the winner — while Jonah Lomu was famously kept off the scoreboard. It was South Africa’s first ever Rugby World Cup title.
