Lood de Jager is a South African lock born on 21 February 1993 who has been a mainstay of the Springbok second row since his debut in 2014, standing 2.04m tall and weighing over 115kg. He is regarded as one of the best lineout operators in the world and formed a dominant second-row partnership with Eben Etzebeth in South Africa’s 2019 and 2023 World Cup-winning campaigns. De Jager has played club rugby in South Africa and for Sale Sharks in England.
