Duane Vermeulen, born 26 March 1985, is a South African number 8 regarded as one of the finest loose forwards in Springbok history, earning approximately 73 Test caps through end of 2024. He was named Man of the Match in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final for a dominant display of carrying and physicality, and won both the 2019 and 2023 World Cups with South Africa.
