Jean de Villiers was a Springbok centre and captain who earned 109 Test caps between 2002 and 2015, making him one of the most capped backs in Springbok history. He captained the Springboks at the 2015 Rugby World Cup before a serious knee injury ended his tournament. Renowned for his leadership, composure, and skill in the midfield, he is regarded as one of the finest centres the Springboks have ever produced.
