Rassie Erasmus is South Africa’s Director of Rugby and the primary architect of the Springboks’ back-to-back Rugby World Cup victories in 2019 and 2023. Born on 27 January 1972 in Despatch, Eastern Cape, he played 36 Tests as a loose forward before moving into coaching, serving as head coach for the 2019 triumph and Director of Rugby for the 2023 title. He is the single most influential figure in the Springboks’ modern golden era.
