Naas Botha is widely regarded as South Africa’s greatest-ever flyhalf, earning 28 Test caps between 1980 and 1992 and scoring 312 points despite playing through the apartheid isolation era that severely curtailed the Springboks’ international schedule. His precision goal-kicking and tactical mastery defined an era, and he remains one of the most celebrated figures in South African rugby history.
