Schalk Burger is a South African rugby legend who played blindside flanker for the Springboks from 2003 to 2015, earning 86 test caps. He was named World Rugby Player of the Year in 2004 — one of the rare Springboks to receive the honour — and was renowned for his physicality, ferocious defence, and dominance at the breakdown.
