Eben Etzebeth is South Africa’s most capped player of all time, a dominant lock born in Cape Town on 26 October 1991, who surpassed 130 Test caps with ongoing international appearances since his 2012 debut (exact total continues to grow). He was the cornerstone of two World Cup-winning squads in 2019 and 2023, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest locks in rugby history.
