Rassie Erasmus, born 27 January 1972 in Despatch, Eastern Cape, is the Director of Rugby who engineered South Africa’s back-to-back World Cup wins in 2019 and 2023. He earned 36 Springbok caps as a flanker between 1997 and 2001 before moving into coaching. His bold selections, tactical innovation, and ability to build a unified team culture transformed the Springboks into the dominant force in world rugby.
