Springbok rugby scrum-half position explained

The scrum-half (position 9) is the link between forwards and backs, responsible for distributing the ball from set-pieces and controlling game tempo. Scrum-halves must possess quick hands, excellent decision-making, and tactical awareness to orchestrate attacks. South African scrum-halves have been crucial to the team’s success with their creative distribution and accurate box-kicking.
