Schalk Burger is a former South African flanker regarded as one of the greatest opensides in Springbok history, earning 86 caps between 2003 and 2015. He won the World Rugby Player of the Year award in 2004 and was a cornerstone of the 2007 Rugby World Cup-winning squad, renowned for his ferocious work rate, breakdown dominance, and relentless physicality.
