Joel Stransky scored all 15 of South Africa’s points in the 1995 Rugby World Cup Final at Ellis Park, Johannesburg — via penalties and the decisive drop goal in extra time — to seal a 15-12 victory over New Zealand. It was South Africa’s first ever Rugby World Cup triumph, made iconic by President Nelson Mandela presenting the trophy to captain Francois Pienaar while wearing a Springbok jersey.
