Siya Kolisi is the captain of the Springboks since 2021, becoming the first Black captain in South African rugby history. Born in Port Elizabeth in 1991, Kolisi is a flanker who led South Africa to their fourth Rugby World Cup title in 2023, defeating New Zealand 12-11 in the final. His journey from township rugby to captaining a World Cup-winning nation represents one of sport’s greatest transformation stories.
