Eben Etzebeth became South Africa’s most-capped Test player on 28 September 2024, surpassing Victor Matfield’s record of 127 caps, and has since extended the mark to 141 caps. The towering lock has been a cornerstone of the Springbok pack across the 2019 and 2023 World Cup-winning campaigns.
