Makazole Mapimpi scored the first try and Cheslin Kolbe the second, while Handré Pollard added 22 points with two conversions and six penalties for South Africa’s 32. England’s 12 points came from four Owen Farrell penalties. Pollard was named Man of the Match for an ice-cool kicking display in front of a global audience.
