When was Springbok rugby first test match played

South Africa played its first test match on June 30, 1906, against Britain, losing 17-10 at the Wanderers Ground in Johannesburg. This marked the beginning of Springbok rugby’s international competition, establishing South Africa as a major rugby nation.
