When did South Africa return to international rugby

South Africa was readmitted to international rugby in August 1992 following the end of apartheid, having been excluded from both the 1987 and 1991 Rugby World Cups and facing a boycott from major rugby nations since the mid-1980s. Their first Test back was against the All Blacks in Johannesburg, just three years before they hosted and won the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
